Just back from Italy! Was playing Bustofolk Festival (near Milan) with Bags of Rock. We played twice: once late on Friday night and again the next afternoon. The band went down a storm and we definitely gained a few fans! 😀
I’m also just back teaching weekly at Edinburgh University. This is a 10-week course specifically for foreign students who want a taste of Scottish Culture and music. I show them the basics on the practice chanter and by the end of the course they’ll be playing a few small tunes. This year I’ll be tutoring 8 Americans, 1 German and 1 girl from Hong Kong.
The National Piping Centre evening course term has started back too. I coordinate these classes and teach on a Monday night. Find out more about our new timetable and structure here
